 Periodic Table of Prehistoric Mammals 22" x 28" After the dinosaurs went extinct some 65 million years ago, the planet’s mammals, and eventually the human race, evolved to fill that ecological niche for the present. The author compiled a listing of the world’s known dinosaur remains, and matched each chemical symbol to some aspect of a dinosaur’s name. Images of skeletal remains and relevant information were gathered from the Web, and the resulting collage presents an intriguing snapshot of the life forms that succeeded the dinosaurs. There are verbal and visual puns, and a few inside jokes. |
